Much of the time when I'm riding or wrapped up in working at an event I get so busy that I forget to stop and take pictures of what is happening around me. Maybe that's for the best because I have never been too good at taking a quality photo. But the wife of one the riders at the Grumpy Grind took some pretty nice photos in the first 20 miles that she sent me a link too that she said i could share. So if you want to see how good you look riding your bike on beautiful sunny day, type in or click on sterlingdoc.smugmug.com/GG-5 to check on some very nice pictures.
Another one of my volunteers took pictures of many of the finishers, and you can find them on the Grumpy Grind 5 Facebook page. If anyone else took pictures and would like to share them, you can contact me with that information or post something on the Facebook page.
And as a final bit of closure on the event, I really want to thank all the people who kindly made a donation to the event. Each year I take a small leap of faith to purchase what I need to make the event become what it is. I don't like chasing sponsors, and I like the idea of a grassroots event where the participants really are what make the event possible. And you all did. Thank you so much!
